Special Agents with the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon in Lavaca.
The robbery was reported around 2:45 p.m. on February 26, 2026, at the First National Bank of Fort Smith branch located on West Main Street in Lavaca. Arkansas State Police began the investigation at the request of the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office.
No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident. No suspects have been taken into custody at this time.
