Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Turning Point USA Chairwoman Erika Kirk announced Wednesday a partnership to bring the organization’s Club America chapters to Arkansas high schools.
The announcement came during a pep rally at Arkansas Christian Academy in Bryant, where students celebrated the school’s newly launched Club America chapter. Sanders later signed a proclamation at the Governor’s Mansion encouraging Arkansas high schools and colleges to support student-led civic organizations.
“Charlie Kirk dedicated his life to empowering young Americans to stand up for faith, freedom, and the principles our country was founded on,” Sanders said. “Bringing Club America chapters to Arkansas high schools will help continue that mission and inspire the next generation of leaders.”
Turning Point USA was founded in 2012 by conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Following Kirk’s death last year, the organization has continued its mission focused on educating young Americans about free markets, limited government, and American ideals.
The Club America program brings student-led chapters to high schools that promote civic dialogue, leadership, and engagement with American founding principles. The organization currently operates on more than 3,500 campuses nationwide, including more than 1,200 high school Club America chapters.
