Little Rock Attorney Suspended Following Arrest in Texarkana Stabbing Incident

Little Rock defense attorney Zoe Charise Jackson, Arkansas Bar No. 2022257, has been stripped of her privilege to practice law following a violent incident in Texarkana. The Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct, Panel D, issued an Order of Interim Suspension on March 6, 2026, after determining that Jackson’s continued practice poses a substantial threat of serious harm to the public and her clients. This disciplinary action follows Jackson’s arrest on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at an EZ Mart located at 3401 E. 9th Street.

According to investigators, the incident began around 5:30 p.m. when 19-year-old Markavion Whitmore allegedly engaged in a confrontation with a FedEx delivery driver. Police reports indicate that Whitmore stabbed the driver, dropped the weapon, and fled the scene. Detectives determined that Jackson, who was accompanied by the suspect, removed the knife from the scene and concealed it in her vehicle. Consequently, Jackson was arrested for Felony Tampering with Physical Evidence and transported to the Miller County Jail, where she was later released on a $50,000 bond.

The Committee’s order was based on an analysis of the Tapp factors, concluding that the public would suffer irreparable harm without the suspension and that there is a substantial likelihood that a significant sanction will be imposed at the end of pending proceedings. While the victim of the assault receives treatment at a local hospital, the suspect, Markavion Whitmore, remains at large with an active felony warrant for Battery in the 2nd Degree. The suspension of Jackson’s license is effective immediately upon the filing of the order.
