Sanders authorizes $50K more for March 2025 storm recovery

Storm clouds over Arkansas after severe weather

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed an executive order Friday authorizing an additional $50,000 for recovery tied to severe storms and tornadoes that affected Arkansas on or about March 14, 2025.

The order amends EO 25-05 and directs money from the Governor’s Disaster Response and Recovery Fund, according to the governor’s office.

The funds will be used at the discretion of the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management director to help cover program and administrative costs connected to recovery efforts.

The executive order cites damage and hardship caused by the storms and says affected political subdivisions need supplemental state assistance to recover.
