Arkansas State Police arrested two suspects Thursday following a vehicle pursuit in Jefferson County that resulted in the recovery of cocaine and a modified shotgun.

Troopers attempted to stop a vehicle shortly after 8:30 a.m. on North Hutchinson Street, but the vehicle fled onto Dollarway Road, according to an ASP news release. The pursuit ended at a Dollar General on North Haley Street, where passengers ran inside the store but were quickly apprehended with assistance from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Police arrested Aliyah Long, 20, of Pine Bluff, and John Moya Jr., 19, of Monticello. Moya has active felony warrants, according to ASP. The driver of the vehicle remains at large.

During the investigation, troopers recovered a modified 20-gauge shotgun that had been thrown from the suspect vehicle during the pursuit. They also seized approximately 19.6 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and ammunition.
