GREENWOOD, Ark. — A 37-year-old Greenwood man is facing two felony charges after Sebastian County prosecutors accused him of possessing sexually explicit material involving children, according to court records.
Kevin Michael Schlinker was arrested July 10 by the Greenwood Police Department on a Sebastian County Circuit Court warrant. He is charged with two counts of pandering or possessing a visual or print medium depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child — one count as a first offense, a Class C felony, and one count as a second offense, a Class B felony, under Arkansas Code 5-27-304.
A criminal information filed in the Greenwood District of Sebastian County Circuit Court alleges the offenses occurred between April 27 and June 2, 2026. The filing, signed June 24 by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Scott Houston on behalf of 12th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Daniel Shue, accuses Schlinker of knowingly soliciting, receiving, possessing, viewing, distributing or controlling visual or print media depicting a child engaging in sexually explicit conduct, including computer-generated material.
The arrest warrant, issued in June and served July 10, lists Jason Fuller of the Greenwood Police Department as the attention officer on the case. A circuit judge set Schlinker’s bail at $50,000 with bond conditions.
Court records show Schlinker was declared indigent and appointed a public defender on July 15. In a sworn affidavit, he reported no income, employment or assets and listed himself as homeless with a Fort Smith mailing address, though the criminal information lists a Greenwood address. His attorney, Christina Scherrey of the Sebastian County Public Defender’s Office, filed a motion for discovery July 16 seeking the state’s evidence in the case.
Under Arkansas law, a Class B felony carries a sentencing range of five to 20 years in prison, and a Class C felony carries three to 10 years.
The charges are accusations, and Schlinker is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
