HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — A Hot Springs man already accused of soliciting two teenage girls now faces a new felony charge alleging he sent a sexually explicit image to a 10-year-old girl on Snapchat.
Garland County prosecutors filed the new case Thursday charging 20-year-old Jayden Deon Bradshaw with electronic facilitation of child sexual abuse, a Class B felony, court records show.
The case stems from a report to the Garland County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division on Jan. 6. According to an affidavit, the Pulaski County Internet Crimes Against Children unit received a Crime Stoppers tip that a man had sent an explicit image to a child, then forwarded the information to Garland County after determining the family lived there.
The girl’s mother told investigators her 10-year-old daughter had received the image on Snapchat, the affidavit states. She said she blocked and reported the account, then confronted the user, who admitted sending the picture. Screenshots she provided were matched to Bradshaw through prior booking photos, according to the affidavit.
The girl was forensically interviewed at the Cooper Anthony Mercy Child Advocacy Center on Jan. 8, the affidavit states. She reported that the account had added her on Snapchat around Jan. 1 and that the user claimed to be 20 and told her to keep their contact secret after she noted her age. She said the user later sent her a sexually explicit photo, according to the affidavit.
Investigators obtained search warrants for the Snapchat accounts and said they located a conversation matching the girl’s account, along with a photo matching her description, according to the affidavit. A search warrant for an associated Google account confirmed it belonged to Bradshaw through direct deposit emails, the affidavit states.
The new charge is separate from two cases prosecutors filed earlier involving two 13-year-old girls. In those cases, Bradshaw is accused of threatening the girls after they refused to meet him for sex and, in one instance, offering to pay for sexual contact, court records show.
Electronic facilitation of child sexual abuse carries a sentence of five to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $15,000.
Bradshaw remains held in the Garland County detention center, jail records show.
