A 19-year-old Bryant man died Monday, March 2, 2026, following a rear-end collision involving a school bus on U.S. Highway 65 in rural Chicot County, according to the Arkansas State Police.
Matthew Taylor, 19, of Bryant, was a passenger in a 2006 Chevrolet Impala traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 65 near Airport Road when the vehicle struck the rear of a stopped 2011 school bus at approximately 3:44 p.m. Taylor was transported to Chicot Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His body was released to Bishop King Funeral Home.
Conditions at the time of the crash were clear with dry road surfaces. The Arkansas State Police is leading the investigation into the collision.
