A 70-year-old Harrison man died Monday morning following a three-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 62/65 in Harrison, according to the Arkansas State Police.
William G. Elting was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on Highway 62/65 when his vehicle entered the southbound lanes at approximately 8:35 a.m., police said. The Silverado collided with a southbound 2024 Ram 2500, which was then pushed into a 2014 Ram 2500 also traveling southbound.
Elting was transported to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. His body was later transferred to the Boone County Coroner. No other injuries were reported in the crash.
Weather and road conditions were clear and dry at the time of the collision, according to the crash report.
