An 18-year-old Springdale woman died Saturday, January 17, 2026, following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of State Highway 265 and East Don Tyson Parkway in Springdale, according to the Arkansas State Police.
Oni Jayden Stormer McCoy, 18, of Springdale, was the driver of a 2008 Toyota traveling eastbound on Don Tyson Parkway when the crash occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m. Authorities say a 1998 Isuzu Trooper, traveling southbound on Highway 265, failed to stop at a red light and entered the intersection, where it was struck by McCoy’s vehicle. The impact caused McCoy’s Toyota to leave the roadway and strike a power pole.
McCoy was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Weather conditions at the time of the crash were clear, and the road surface was dry. Her body was subsequently transferred to the Arkansas Crime Lab.
The Arkansas State Police is leading the investigation into the crash. No information regarding the driver of the 1998 Isuzu Trooper was immediately available in the preliminary report.
