A Hot Springs woman died Thursday, January 8, 2026, following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 270 West near Magnet Cove in Hot Spring County. Jeri Winiecki, 43, was fatally injured in the crash, which occurred at approximately 3:26 p.m. under cloudy skies on wet roadway conditions.
According to the Arkansas State Police, a 2010 Cadillac was traveling westbound on Highway 270 West when it crossed the center lane and struck a 2025 Buick traveling eastbound. The impact caused the Buick, in which Winiecki was the driver, to leave the roadway and overturn.
Winiecki was transported to CHI St. Vincent/Baptist Medical Center following the crash. Her body is being held at Hot Spring County. The driver of the 2010 Cadillac was also among those injured in the collision; a total of four individuals sustained injuries as a result of the crash.
The Arkansas State Police is leading the investigation into the fatal wreck. No additional information regarding the other individuals involved has been released at this time.
