A 76-year-old Batesville woman died Thursday afternoon following a head-on collision on Camp Tahkodah Road in Independence County, according to the Arkansas State Police.
Wanda Floyed was driving a 2019 Jeep Cherokee southbound on Camp Tahkodah Road when a northbound 2016 Nissan Maxima crossed the centerline and collided with her vehicle at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Feb. 5. The impact caused Floyed’s Jeep to overturn, according to the crash report.
Floyed was transported to White River Health, where she succumbed to her injuries. Her body was later transferred to the coroner. The crash occurred under clear weather conditions on dry pavement.
