Beebe Man Dies After UTV Overturns on Wet Road in White County

A 58-year-old Beebe man died Saturday morning after losing control of a utility terrain vehicle on Tweedy Road in McRae, according to the Arkansas State Police.

James Poe was driving a 2021 Polaris RZR northbound on Tweedy Road in White County when the vehicle overturned around 10:25 a.m. on Feb. 7. Poe was ejected from the UTV during the crash, state police reported.

The crash occurred under clear weather conditions, though the road surface was wet at the time. No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and no other injuries were reported.

Poe’s body was taken to Smith Westbrook Funeral Home. The Arkansas State Police is investigating the fatal crash.
