A Bigelow woman was killed Friday afternoon, January 16, 2026, when her pickup truck left the roadway and struck a tree along Highway 10 near Connie Lane in rural Pulaski County.
Alene Drummond, 64, was pronounced dead at the scene. Drummond was driving a 2005 Toyota Tundra westbound on Highway 10 when the vehicle departed the roadway, traveled down an embankment, and collided with a tree. The crash occurred at approximately 4:09 p.m.
Weather conditions at the time of the crash were clear, and the road surface was dry, according to the crash report. The Arkansas State Police investigated the incident.
Drummond’s body was remanded to the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office. No other injuries were reported in connection with the crash.
