Dallas Woman Killed in Interstate 40 Crash After Being Struck Outside Stalled Vehicle in St. Francis County

A 26-year-old Dallas, Texas, woman died Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle while standing outside her stalled car on Interstate 40 in St. Francis County, according to an Arkansas State Police report.

Roxanne Bundrick was killed in the crash that occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the 247-mile marker on eastbound I-40 near Widener. According to the report, Bundrick’s 2018 Toyota RAV4 was stalled in the left lane, and she was outside the vehicle when a 2018 Jeep Cherokee, also traveling eastbound, struck her vehicle and then struck Bundrick.

The crash occurred during clear weather conditions, though the road surface was reported to have snow and ice present. No other injuries were reported in the incident.

Bundrick’s body was held at Forrest City Medical. The Arkansas State Police is investigating the crash.
