Florida Man Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash at Ouachita County Intersection

A 65-year-old Florida man died Tuesday morning following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of U.S. Highway 79 and State Highway 376 in rural Ouachita County.

Kenneth Darrell Goff of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, was a passenger in a 1992 Ford Ranger traveling eastbound on State Highway 376 when the vehicle failed to stop at the intersection at approximately 8:14 a.m., according to an Arkansas State Police crash report. A southbound 1997 Mack truck on U.S. Highway 79 struck the Ranger in the intersection.

Goff was transported to Baptist Hospital, where he died from his injuries. The crash occurred under cloudy skies on dry road conditions on Feb. 17, 2026.

Goff’s body was taken to the Ouachita County Morgue. Information about the driver of the Ranger and the truck driver was not immediately available.
