A Hot Springs woman died Saturday evening, February 28, 2026, following a single-vehicle crash on Shady Heights Road in Garland County, according to the Arkansas State Police.
Christina Rene Fennewald, 45, of Hot Springs, was killed when the 2006 Nissan Pathfinder she was driving left the roadway at approximately 7:48 p.m. and struck a utility pole before colliding with a tree. The crash occurred in the Hot Springs area under clear skies and dry road conditions.
Fennewald was transported to UAMS following the crash. Her body is being held at the Garland County Coroner’s office. No other vehicles were reported to be involved in the collision.
The Arkansas State Police is leading the investigation into the cause of the crash.
