MONROE COUNTY, Ark. — A Palestine man was killed and a Marianna man was injured in an early morning crash in Monroe County, according to a preliminary fatal crash summary from Arkansas State Police.
The crash happened at 1:11 a.m. June 14 on U.S. Highway 49 at State Highway 39 in Blackton, according to ASP.
Investigators reported that a southbound 2026 Can-Am left the roadway, struck a stop sign and overturned.
Spencer Jones, 27, of Palestine, was killed. William Ross, 32, of Marianna, was injured and taken to Forrest City Medical Center, according to the summary.
