Pea Ridge Woman Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash at Fort Smith Intersection

A 51-year-old Pea Ridge woman died Friday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of U.S. Highway 271 and Towson Place in Fort Smith, according to the Arkansas State Police.

Tonya Jean Hall was driving a 2009 Honda eastbound on Towson Place when she failed to yield at approximately 12:18 p.m. on Feb. 6, according to the crash report. A 2018 Toyota traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 271 collided with Hall’s vehicle, causing it to rotate counter-clockwise and roll.

Hall was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center, where she died from her injuries. The crash occurred under clear weather conditions on dry pavement. No other injuries were reported in the collision.

The Arkansas State Police is investigating the crash. Hall’s body was held at the Washington County Coroner’s office.
