Perry County Crash Kills Hot Springs Woman After Driver Attempts Illegal Pass on Highway 60

A Hot Springs woman was killed Monday, January 19, 2026, in a two-vehicle collision on State Highway 60 West near Perryville in Perry County. The crash occurred at approximately 1:55 p.m. under clear skies on a dry roadway.

The victim, Regeneia Dugan, 63, was a passenger in a 2007 Chevrolet Impala traveling eastbound on Highway 60 when the crash occurred. According to the Arkansas State Police, the driver of the Impala attempted to pass another vehicle in a designated no-passing zone. The driver then veered right and began braking in an attempt to return to the eastbound lane, causing the vehicle to rotate and collide with a westbound 2019 Toyota Highlander.

Dugan was transported to Conway Baptist Hospital and UAMS following the crash but did not survive her injuries. Her body was turned over to the Perry County Coroner. Three individuals were reported injured in connection with the crash, though additional details regarding the other occupants were not immediately available.

The Arkansas State Police is leading the investigation into the collision. No charges or citations have been publicly announced at this time.
