A Rogers man died Friday, February 6, 2026, after the motorcycle he was riding struck a deer on State Highway 127 in rural Madison County, according to the Arkansas State Police.
John Martin, 71, was traveling westbound on State Highway 127 at approximately 2 p.m. when a deer entered the roadway and collided with his 2006 Harley-Davidson. Following the impact, the motorcycle began to slide, crossed the centerline and came to a final rest in the eastbound lane.
Martin was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His body was released to the Washington County Coroner. Weather conditions at the time of the crash were clear, and the road was dry.
The Arkansas State Police is investigating the crash.
