Mountain Pine Man, 57, Killed In Head-On Crash On Highway 227 In Garland County

MOUNTAIN PINE, Ark. — A 57-year-old Mountain Pine man was killed Wednesday morning in a head-on collision on Arkansas Highway 227, according to Arkansas State Police.

Billy Joe Parker II was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on Highway 227 (Mountain Pine Road) at approximately 5:35 a.m. on July 1, 2026, when he crossed the center line and struck an oncoming 2023 GMC Yukon.

Parker died in the crash. The driver of the SUV, 41-year-old Keith Frederick Ebert of Hot Springs Village, was transported to CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs for treatment of injuries.

Parker’s body was taken to the Garland County Coroner’s Office.

Arkansas State Police Cpl. Ryan Wingo investigated the crash and noted clear weather and dry roads at the time of the collision.
